Yesterday, Maestro retired from the ladder for the first time. I think its fair to say he's suffering from burnout, but hopefully he will be back once he's ready. In case he doesn't return before the end of the season I'd like to take this opportunity to nominate him for props:
Anything butt ass:• Maestro has improved greatly in a short time having transitioned from the lower end of silver tier to topping silver tier
• He has been a multiple top silver pilot having fought and defeated some of the very best pilots in his tier (wins vs. b2af, ERNIE392, Hyper, Lady Silver, Lee, Phyrex and Swarthy)
• Maestro has beaten gold pilots on the ladder and in the Observatory Tournament (Vainiac on the DCL and Melvin in the Observatory Tournament: season six - first qualifier)
• He has notched up some very impressive scores against both diamond pilots (14-20 vs. Jediluke @ Remix and 15-20 vs. Mark392 @ Crimson)
I've been playing Maestro regularly for almost a year now (backend of Mid 2016) and whilst I'm biased (yes he is my friend, aww) I think he's improved remarkably well. At the beginning he clearly had some good fundamentals and would regularly put in strong performances in free-for-all anarchy games. Soon enough he was able to replicate these performances into his ladder matches and was able to work his way up from the bottom. Despite clearly having the ability I think its fair to say he's been held back by a lack of belief at times however, this started to change at the backend of last season (Mid 2017) and I've not been overly surprised to see how well he's performed.
I think Maestro is a model pilot for anyone coming on to the ladder. He has a whole lot of ability, he's been determined to improve, he's had the courage to play in an extensive range of unfavourable levels, he meets his challenges without hesitation, he's tough yet respectful and he maintains a high level of sportsmanship at all times. He's anything butt ass
