Haha of course, silly me

Vainiac after failing to pass his initial gold promotion challenge kept on plugging away and achieved promotion to gold on his second attempt. Also, he has shown a great desire to seek out the strongest opponents on the ladder and to build upon his already impressive skill set.

Melvin having failed to gain promotion last season had another chance in Late 2016 and took it with both hands, reaching an insumountable score of +8 after just four games played. Also, playing Melvin is an experience that changes from match to match even when playing in the same level twice. He plays Descent rather intelligently, he picks up on his opponent's tactics very quickly and has a range of skills or styles that he can use effectively when needed.

1.Souljah
Randomly Show Up & Kick Bada$$es' Butts
Souljah doesn't play often, disappearing for months at a time. Then he shows up and beats the best pilots, without rust, in an effortless sort of way. (Carbon copy of DJ's award)

2.Lee
This game/ladder lives and breathes from activity. This season he has played 340+ (i wont bother putting a number because by the time you read this it'll have increased by 5) games this season. He plays anyone and everyone, and in any level (even some he shouldn't). What i respect most importantly of all he does it with the greatest sportsmanship; a true gentleman!

Honourable mention to Swarthy, who also helps push activity with his nightly fun games.

"The Dodge"

Jediluke performed an incredible feat in Megathena by DODGING A MEGA MISSILE WITHIN A SINGLE CUBE HALLWAY! With zero time to think about it he reacted courageously by flying directly at the mega missile, placing himself in such a position where he could break the lock (timed to perfection and dodged at pretty much the last possible moment) and shepherd the mega missile to a safe distance away from the narrow walls of the hallway that would have otherwise inflicted fatal splash damage. The margin for error was ridiculously small as it pretty much had to be perfect, although in saying this he nearly pulled it off for a SECOND TIME!

Sometimes its easy not to fully appreciate some of the great things Jediluke can do in Descent, because its got to the point where its expected of him. So its only fair to give credit where credit is due. He has shown countless displays of real skill in our games and whilst this is just one of them, its the single greatest moment I have ever seen in Descent.

This is why I play Descent.
