Rematch Award(s)
The "Triple D" award? "Double Dip Denied!"
I really like this idea. I have often sought a rematch in the same level and conditions immediately following a loss or a score that was threatening that I thought I could do a lot better against if I had a rematch.
The difficulty might be in defining under which conditions is an award given. Like you mentioned.
Would it only be for a rematch in which the loser succesfully wins the next round under same conditions?
Is it also given for a Mark vs Bahamut score of 20-17 followed by an immediate rematch in which Mark vs Baha ends in 20-10 or lower?
I spoke to Drakona and she really liked the premise of this award as well.
We need to hammer out the particulars. THOUGHTS???

Keep it informal, we all know the deal when it comes to the jedi rematch(TM). Too sticky and subjective, i feel like thresholds would have to be arbitrary, i.e. this seems like like this is one of those things that's hard to define, but you know it when you see it.

The only truly easy definition for me is (pilot X lost in match 1) then (Pilot X wins in match 2) same circumstances and said match happend in Y time frame.
This would eliminate subjectivity or the more common form of "Jedi rematch(TM)"

I will contemplate and see if I can come up with a mechanization that makes sense to suggest. But I like the idea very much in principle and consider it to be deeply DCL.

Maybe just base it on performance vs algorithm expectation? (for both eligibility for a rematch award and for determining if they win the award)

Drakona, have you contemplated?
If so, do share.

I feel like this is a great idea! it definitely shows this is an example of shaking things up and opening up more doors for opportunities for more ideas like these, If i were in charge i would consider it!
